Valerie is really close to her sister and her family. She became an aunt at just eight years old and spent a lot of time at her sister’s house, helping out with her niece and nephews. Because of that, they all still have a strong bond today. Valerie loves her family’s traditions, like making sure every birthday includes a special meal, singing “happy birthday,” and blowing out candles on a cake. We always celebrate holidays with both family and friends because it’s important to spend time with the people we care about.

 

Paul’s mom lives in New York City, and we often visit her to catch a show or try a new restaurant. She’s really looking forward to becoming a grandmother since Paul is an only child. Paul’s godmother, who officiated our wedding, is another person we’re really close to. Like us, she’s a big science fiction fan, especially when it comes to Star Trek. Paul’s two best friends were at his side at our wedding, and he loves having them over for board games, cards, and pizza nights. We all enjoy going to the movies together, especially for Marvel films, and supporting each other’s creative hobbies.
